In 2020 Microsoft announce a 1.1 billion dollar investment in Azure Cloud datacenter to be built in Querétaro. Still hasn’t come online. Aways seems to be “mañana”. Looks like AWS is going to eat their lunch.

Increased confidence can’t be over-stated. It’s not just “another investment” in Mexico.
This one is about “where is your DATA kept”.
It’s huge.

While it is great for my area where we reside just a bit south, it continues to make the economy in the area stronger and then also makes Queretaro more expensive to live as it was recently ranked as the 50th most expensive city in the world. I guess we’ll be able to sell the mansion for about 10x what we built it for and move out to Tequisquiapan for even farther to Jalpan de Serra.

This is huge great news for Queretaro and all of Mexico. An investment like this is a great leading indicator of future trends and should give increased confidence of other companies to invest in Mexico.
