Its a great location close to everything. Its basic and clean and well worth the price. Its an easy walk to the main marina if you are fishing. Up the street is the Crazy Lobster best surf and turf price in town. Lots of great inexpensive places to eat close by. And in a safe area so no worry there.

You really nailed the finer points of staying in small, affordable hotels. These are the anti-All-inclusive options that were once the lifeblood of Cabo. Sadly, corporate brands and “don’t leave your hotel” model are now the norm. Now, if you can find affordable GOLF, that would be a treat!
