The comments I made to Bethany’s brilliant curation and coverage of wonderful Mexico City Boutique accommodations was completely out of line and inexcusable. Her writings were very eloquent and accurate and well found, while mine were cruel and creepy and I am very ashamed and sorry to all of you and especially Bethany. I’m not sure what was in my head when I wrote that, but I hope it never returns and I will work to that end. Until then, happy trails😵‍💫🙃😞

This list is dedicated specifically to boutique hotels, which are quite trendy and tend to be pricey. Like any major city, there are options for all price ranges. I’m sure the readers would appreciate any alternatives you have to offer! Feel free!

Obviously with repeated visits one can suss out the neighbourhood best suited to their needs. We like to try different areas but always explore. Vulgar and sad? Really now, let’s not make mountains out of molehills.

Nowhere in Mexico City do you need to spend this kind of money for a Gr8 time. Try Selina and the other new school operators to get back to earth style prices. Rich Mexicans without any
conscious and wealthy travellers spend these kind of rates on accommodations because they believe they are worth it somehow. Nonsense. Search for sensible, modest suites staffed by normal residents and dine at places your family can be proud of not your wallet. This is a sad story of vulgar, extravagant excess…. Like crack, just say no!!!
