And thanks for listing Los Panchos en Anzures. I was a a grad student at UNAM in 1973-74 and traveled throughout CDMX for exploring the city. Don’t remember who, but we discovered Los Panchos and went to Los Panchos later. Eight years later in Lorain, Ohio, my wife and I opened an authentic Mexican restaurant and called it Los Panchos. Well be in CDMX for the election next month and stay in Roma Norte and hit many of these suggested places!

We live in Oaxaca but we’re go to Mexico city a couple of times a year and plan on taking a night time taco tour on our next visit

I feel the need to comment on this post. As a Mexico City resident since I was born, and taco lover, I think some amazing taquerias have been left out (I am consciously leaving out real “street” taquerias). I hope this list bring additional options to MND readers:

1. El Venadito (Ave. Universidad) – amazing spot for carnitas (there is inside seating, but best to eat at the street facing “puesto”, ask for a “chiquita” taco and don’t ask what chiquita is)
2. El Remolkito (various locations) – sirloin tacos are out of this world
3. El Tizonicito (various locations) – best tacos al pastor
4. El Huequito (various locations) – amazing pastor and suadero (I don’t know how to explain suadero in English)

“Fancier” restaurants with great tacos:

1. Enrique (Ave. Insurgentes Sur)
2. Los Panchos (Anzures)
3. El Bajio (various locations)

Hi Paul, that’s right! We acknowledged that there are loads more spots around the city and the list is SO vast. There are many fantastic ones. We’ve also included Taqueria Gabriel in Zona Rosa, Taqueria Selene in Anzures, and Taqueria Orinoco, which has many locations throughout the city outside of those three areas. We’d love to hear which ones are on your top list!

Your list seems rather limited, mentioning only taquerias in posher neighborhoods, while hundreds more taquerias are excellent all around the city.
I guess your readers only live in Condesa Polanco, and Roman Norte.

I understand that Mexican news organizations do not list the address of businesses that they review. But Mexico News Daily is writing for an English-speaking audience. An address, often including opening hours, telephone number, and web site, is almost universally expected.
