My Maya friends use them ALL. THE. TIME. I feel as though they live by them to a degree which used to spook me out at times. They also know a lot about herbs and weeds and practically every day I had Chaya for breakfast with eggs and Salsa Verde. I was never sick a day for twelve glorious years… That weed grows wild in Yucatan but you can’t buy it in California, unfortunately. It looks similar to spinach, but nutrition-wise it’s said to be far superior. I believe it.
